About Tecate

In the middle of creeks, mountains and the border lies the small city of Tecate which is, along with Ensenada, one of the oldest urban centers in Baja. The city’s main commercial activity is industry, with the brewery that took its name from the city standing out (and worth a visit, also).

Around Tecate there are plenty of ranches, resorts and spas for camping, swimming and other enjoyable summer activities. On the highway to Mexicali lies the beauty of La Rumorosa’s boulders and Cañón de Guadalupe with its cave paintings.
