Basketball - Soles de Mexicali

Basketball is a very popular sport in the northern states of our country, and Mexicali is home to one of the best teams in México’s LNBP (National Professional Basketball League), the Mexicali Suns.

The regular season runs from the end of June to mid-October, with playoffs going on through November. They play a total of 20 home games at the recently remodeled and air-conditioned Auditorio del Estado (State Auditorium).

Baseball - Aguilas de Mexicali

If you are a baseball fan, then you will certainly want to catch the spirit during the Mexican Pacific Coast League’s baseball season.  America’s national past-time has a really unique flavor when played south of the border, with a very intense atmosphere and traditional snacks aside from the usual hot dogs. Every year from October to January you can enjoy the Mexicali Eagles’ exciting games, held in “The Eagle’s Nest” ballpark, as it is traditionally known. The team boasts well known players from the Mexican Summer League as well as outstanding prospects from American Major League teams.
