Due to pavement work being conducted in the only access to Playas de Tijuana this week, long lines of cars waited up to 3 hours to arrive to their destinations.

Residents of Playas and commuters complaint and, as a result, Tijuana decided to suspend the road work for at least 2 months. According to Marco Sarabia Rodelo, Secretary of Urban Development,during these months they will do complementary work that will gradually help avoid as much traffic as possible once the road work begins in the summer.

As an alternate route, you may take the free road Tijuana-Rosarito, please consider that in short road sections in different locations, small pavement work in being done, but there is still access to Rosarito or Tijuana.
